Plant Services/Maintenance Manager

Covering a facilities needs in Scranton, PA

The Plant Services/Maintenance Manager will provide transportation to Center clients, maintenance of Center vehicles, and general maintenance of Center facilities.

Compensation & Benefits for the Plant Services/Maintenance Manager:

• Pay: up to $19 per hour
• Location: Scranton, PA and the surrounding areas
• Setting: On the road, outside facility, inside facility
• Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:15 am - 4:15 pm
  • bus transport in the morning and afternoon
• Company benefits discussed at time of interview

Responsibilities of the Plant Services/Maintenance Manager:

• Responsible for vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
• Participate in general maintenance and repair of Center facilities to include, but not limited to painting, carpentry, computer wiring, and plumbing issues.
• Responsible for the maintenance and clearance of walk ways
• Responsible for any movement of furniture and equipment
• Responsible for shredding of confidential documents
• Responsible to transport consumers by van or bus, to and from Center services
• Responsible for the control of supplies related to cleaning of the facility
• Commits to enhancing customer relations by demonstrating a positive, confident attitude and by establishing courteous interactions with all individuals.
• Respects the confidential nature of services provided at the Center
• Frequent daily commuting to and from various community service locations, homes/residential settings and other locations required to perform job responsibilities
• Additional duties may include: 
  • assist in fire drills
  • run errands as needed
  • exhibit a self-directed and disciplined approach to work by completing duties efficiently
  • Embrace a team approach by assisting others willingly
  • Support the mission of SCC in the community and in the faculties
  • Attend all required meetings

Minimum requirements for the Plant Services/Maintenance Manager:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Background in general maintenance and constructions preferred
• Must have a valid, current Pennsylvania Driver's License; CDL preferred
• Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to undergo background checks; Act 32, Act 33, and FBI clearances
