Plant Accounting Manager manages all financial control and accounting activities of a plant including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables and payroll. Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information. Being a Plant Accounting Manager monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs. Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Additionally, Plant Accounting Manager recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. Mulberry is partnering with our longtime client a family-owned company with 110-year deep PNW roots for an Oregon Plant Manager. This is a senior level, key role with opportunity to grow. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the regional General Manager as well as fourth generation members of the family as you join the organization. They are an admired leader in their industry obsessed with providing the highest quality product courtesy of happy and healthy chickens.
A day in the life:
· Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a food manufacturing facility.
· Develop employee skills and culture through hands on leadership.
· Overall owner of Plant KPIs, including but not limited to team member safety, quality and food safety, schedule adherence and financial metrics.
· Provide supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports.
· Face of the company for the partners in the local community.
· Responsible for setting the culture for the facility and upholding company values.
· Monitor and analyze costs and help prepare annual budgets.
· Work hands on and closely with Plant functional leads including Safety, Quality, HR, and Finance.
· General oversight of plant maintenance
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
· Bachelor’s degree in related field; work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
