Plant Accounting Manager manages all financial control and accounting activities of a plant including general and cost accounting, payables/receivables and payroll. Ensures the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies, applicable regulations, and provide required information. Being a Plant Accounting Manager monitors plant operation results against operating plans and direct the preparation of financial, production output, and other reports used to measure and control plant activities and costs. Leads the plant financial and capital budgeting process. Additionally, Plant Accounting Manager recommends and implements programs to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, and reduce costs. May require a CPA. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Plant Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Summary or Purpose
Coordinate with District and other officials to ensure that full educational, administrative and
community use of the District facilities are available at all times.
Qualification Requirements

Valid Alaska Driver’s License required.

Basic Computer Skills – including MS Word, MS Excel, Email, etc. preferred
Preference:
Inupiaq speaking and cultural experience preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure District facilities are accessible for educational, administrative and community use.
Monitor, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot all systems in the facilities.
Schedule, implement, and supervise work programs for maintenance of the facilities.
Submit project progress, daily work logs, inventories, monthly activity reports when required.

Adhere to state and federal structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire codes.
Implement, schedule, and maintain all safety and mandated programs for District facilities.
Attend District training as required.
Adhere to all District policies and regulations.
