Additionally, Plant Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Summary
The Cost Accountant reports directly to the Senior Director of Finance and will have primary responsibility for maintenance of the Bill of Materials, inventory accuracy at the manufacturing plants and analysis/reporting of manufacturing variances. This position will be the primary business partner between the Plant Managers and the Finance department. This is a “hands-on” position requiring continuous improvement leadership, strong operational experience and the ability to maintain a standard cost system.
