Salary: 

$55,000-$75,000

Summary

This position prepares and reviews the accounting controls, transactions and related reporting required to properly report accurately and timely for business unit.

Essential Functions

• Assist in monthly financial close process in two local ERP systems including accrual and reserve calculations as well as standard and non-standard journal entries.
• Keep record of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities and reconciling G/L accounts.
• Handle fixed assets accounting, including additions/disposals and depreciation for multiple business units.
• Organize monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations and upload into company portal.
• Maintain and audit Sales Tax Certificates.
• Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
• Responsible for monthly customer rebate accrual and annual payment.
• Handle basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance; will substitute for strong relevant experience.

Experience: 0-2 years with working knowledge of GAAP.  Proficient in MS Office Suite.
