Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Plant Accountant to join our team. The Plant Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring of Capital Projects including all related documentation;
• Analyzing job production costs, material variances, and sales margins;
• Daily plant productivity calculation, analysis, and reporting;
• Month-end close process, account reconciliations and related journal entry preparation;
• Supporting the development of quarterly forecasts;
• Annual budget preparation and new standard cost setting (including work center rates);
• Management of petty cash disbursements and receipts/replenishments
• Maintain accuracy in receiving, month end paperwork, inventory adjustments, usage, and costing.
• Working closely with all levels of management, employees, customers, external auditors, and vendors.
• Reviewing and assisting with union payroll;
• Analyze inventory movement, PPV and annual Physical Inventory;
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Experience:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Proficient in accounting software.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
