Plant Accountant provides accounting services for a plant. Responsibilities include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Being a Plant Accountant complies and prepares analysis and reports of accounting activity and data. Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and reconciliations. Additionally, Plant Accountant typically requires a bachelor's degree of accounting or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plant Accountant gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Objective: To reconcile, balance, and maintain accounts in accordance with City of Sherwood ordinances, policies, and procedures, and under the financial reporting provisions of Ark. Code Ann. § 10-4-412.

SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED
Intermediate: Accounting, Payroll Systems; Basic: 10-Key, Alphanumeric Data Entry, Human Resources Systems, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing
Additional Skills
Completion of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related area, or 3-years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to maintain accurate records, type and enter data accurately. Ability to effectively communicate on a one-on-one basis with others. Ability to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with other employees, department officials and the public. Ability to report to work each scheduled day, and on time.
