Plant Accountant jobs in Hawaii

We are seeking a detail-oriented, efficient individual who will provide full-time clerical/administrative support in accounting. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3 years Accounting experience required
• Experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Demonstrates highest level of integrity and confidentiality
• Highly motivated, positive attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel
• Experience with Accounting software, preferably Deltek Vision
• Ability to listen and follow instructions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to multi-task, prioritize, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
• Team player and able to work with minimal supervision

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Preparing monthly billings for various clients
• Preparing monthly Hawaii General Excise Tax Returns
• Reading contracts and ensure monthly billings abide by compensation and payment conditions described on contracts
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable invoices
• Review and reconcile Accounts Payable statements
• Record activities of Accounts Receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all Accounts Receivable components, including bank deposits
• Perform monthly review of Accounts Receivable reports for collection follow-up
• Ensure records systems are accurately and efficiently maintained
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner
• Respond to client inquiries, requests, issues, and problems in a quick efficient manner
• Conform with and abide by all legal regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
• Evaluate procedures continually in order to identify opportunities for improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned
