    Position Summary

    Reporting to the CPA Consulting Services leader, the Director, Business Succession Planning will build a revenue stream working with small and medium sized, privately owned and/or closely held businesses. The incumbent will build relationships across a variety of verticals and partner with owners and stakeholders to transition the business and maximize stakeholder value. You will collaborate across Sikich Service Lines (Tax, Transaction Advisory Services, Wealth Management, Valuation, Investment Banking, and HCM) to provide a flawless consulting experience and exceed client expectations. Lastly, as revenue grows you will be tasked with building a team of exceptional professionals that will drive and execute future profitable engagements.

    What will you do in this role?

    • You will be a trusted advisor, mentor, coach, and part time psychologist to business owners and stakeholders looking to plan their business legacy.
    • Research and develop a client base that are looking to transition their business to the next phase of existence.
    • Mine existing Sikich clients as well as bringing in new clients to the firm.
    • Develop a short term and long-term business plan for growth inclusive of target markets, target organizations, and realistic revenue goals.
    • Develop collateral that demonstrates the value of Sikich as the partner of choice for Business Succession Planning.
    • You will develop relationships across the Sikich Service Lines that will be critical to client engagements.
    • Provide regular reporting and forecasting on activity and potential revenue.
    • Champion people initiatives in partnership with the Human Capital Team, including recruiting, retaining, and training the firm's up and coming professionals.
    • Provide thought leadership and insightful recommendations surrounding a broad range of complex issues by leveraging expertise and experience.

    What do you need to succeed in this role?

    • A minimum of 15 years of experience in High-Net-Worth Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Tax, or another financial discipline managing complex organizational divestitures.
    • A Bachelors Degree in a business discipline from an accredited university.
    • A CEPA or comparable certification would be highly desirable.
    • A history of collaborating successfully with business ownership both financially and emotionally.
    • A hands-on self-starter with the ability to manage in a fast paced, changing environment.
    • An individual capable of articulating and selling ideas and concepts in all mediums, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
    • A leadership style characterized by straightforwardness, approachability, team orientation and collaboration.
    • An individual with an in-check ego who leads by example.
