Planning Director directs and oversees the patient service planning function for a hospital or healthcare system. Performs analysis of trends in healthcare and makes recommendations for new services or changes in existing services. Being a Planning Director supports feasibility analysis and new program planning. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Planning Director typically reports to top management. The Planning Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     Connections Behavior is in search of Behavior Therapists to work with children and adolescents in school-based settings in the South School Districts consisting of Federal Way School District, Tahoma School District, and Highline School District.

    Connections contracts with several school districts to provide 1:1 support to children and adolescents with emotion behavior disorders, autism, intellectual disabilities, and challenging behaviors. NO weekend work is required. This is an entry level position where you will receive paid training to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

    This is a great position for those interested in autism, psychology, sociology, social work, counseling, mental health, para education, and teaching to expand their careers and learn about the field of ABA. Come help us make a difference in a student’s life!

    RBT's are responsible for going to the student’s school to deliver 1:1 instruction and support by following behavior plans created by a BCBA. Behavior plans may include procedures on how to arrange the environment to prevent challenging behaviors, instructions for how to teach the student to communicate needs more appropriately, and procedures for how to respond to unsafe behaviors. All behavior plans are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We provide comprehensive initial and ongoing training, and you will be provided with multiple weekly opportunities to collaborate with an experienced BCBA.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Work 1:1 with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or emotional behavior disorders.
    • Maintain a safe environment for all students and staff members.
    • Follow behavior plans and acquisition plans created by a BCBA.
    • Take data on all target behaviors.
    • Attend team meetings.
    • Debrief with teachers daily.
    • Write daily session notes.
    • Collaborate with BCBA during observations.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred. (Psychology, Education, Sociology, Social Work).
    • Experience working with children and/or people with disabilities.
    • Strong desire to work with students with special needs.
    • A strong desire to work in a dynamic team and advance their knowledge and skills in Applied Behavior Analysis.

    Additional Requirements:
    • Ability to pass criminal background clearance.
    • CPR certified (within 60 days).
    • TB test (within 60 days).

    Connections Behavior is a Healthcare Agency in Washington State, Washington is legally requiring all healthcare workers and school district workers, get a COVID-19 vaccination and to be fully vaccinated by October 18, 2021, or provide a medical or religious exemption.
