Summary:
The Demand Planning Manager will report to the Director of Supply Chain. The successful candidate will be accountable for aggregation, analysis and management of supplier and customer data, liaising, negotiating and managing select partner relationships, as well as overseeing inventory movement and handling. The Demand Planning Manager will oversee third party relationships and lead efforts in maintaining supplier partner information within company repositories.
From time to time, this position will manage and execute special projects as assigned. Travel is expected to be 20% or less.
This is a flexible hybrid role that requires working three days per week in the office. During the onboarding and training period, which is a minimum of 30 days, the role will require you to be in the office four days per week.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Liaise as a single point of contact for select suppliers or products (including preparation of forecasts, procurement of materials, partner reports, facilitation of opportunity pipelines, issue resolution and overall relationship maintenance).
- Manages demand aggregation for select suppliers.
- Interact cross functionally with sales and operations to coordinate and develop product forecast. Drive continuous improvement in sales analyses, forecasting processes and accuracy to positively impact inventory positions, sales, and margins.
- Works with operations to strategically plan production based on best practices of maximizing packaging runs, inventory initiatives and develop and lead analysis.
- Collection and management of supplier and product information.
- New product development and promotion of new markets, geographies, products for existing suppliers.
- Monitor purchases and sales of select supplier products; issue monthly reports identifying key losses/gains of business.
- Identify and implement best practices to improve results for identified reporting metrics. Work with appropriate groups to improve inputs to the process and ongoing continuous improvement.
- Aggregation and management of market/product intelligence.
- Management of supplier related data in the company CRM tool.
- Accountable for Management of Change/Notification of Change within the supply chain.
- Overall Optimization - Identify tier 2 and 3 product candidate categories for purchasing optimization through analysis of product manufacturing locations relative to Harcros sites, freight grids, bulk vs packaged goods pricing, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Supply Chain
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience in business analysis, purchasing or material distribution.
- Inventory planning and price negotiation a plus.
- Warehouse, logistics and inventory movement in an ERP system.
- Experience working with Chemical Distribution a plus
- And/Or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Adept negotiation skills and history of supplier negotiations
- Knowledge of distribution operations including stocking, order fulfillment, replenishment, and inventory control practices.
- Working experience with large and complex data sets to drive business decisions and insights.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adept multi-tasker, self-starter and self-directed.
- Ability to maintain and foster constructive relationships with a variety of diverse backgrounds and personalities.
