As a Danis MEP Coordinator you’ll:
Coordinate the Trades: Efficiently manage collaboration among mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology trades. Conduct regular coordination meetings with architects and stakeholders to oversee MEP coordination, including BIM coordination.
Oversee Commissioning Process: Collaborate on evaluating facility requirements, reviewing design and construction documents, and verifying scheduling and start-up procedures. Ensure comprehensive owner training, documentation, and assist in assessing system performance before the warranty period expires.
Provide Budget Review and Analysis: Collaborate on budget evaluations with preconstruction, MEP estimators, and Project Managers, offering insights in pre-award meetings. Contribute to cost-effective solutions, maintaining focus on constructability reviews and project expenditure optimization.
Ensure Safety & Quality Assurance: Ensure on-site personnel compliance with project procedures, safety, and quality program requirements. Inspect subcontractor work for adherence to project specifications and promptly resolve construction challenges.
As an MEP Coordinator you’ll bring:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering; Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Industrial Engineering Technology Education; or Construction Management.
Experience: We strongly prefer a minimum of 10 years combined experience, on-site, Project Management, Project Engineering, Field Engineering.
Project Expertise: Experience should be with a large mechanical & controls/electrical/plumbing/ subcontractor that self-performs their work. Ideal experience is with hospital, university, life science, and food & bev projects.
Process Proficiency: Ability to effectively control and supervise large groups and projects $5-10mil is essential.
Critical Thinking: Navigate complex challenges, innovate solutions, and make informed decisions that drive project success.
