Plan Design Specialist jobs in Washington

The Washington FAIR Plan provides property insurance for dwellings and commercial buildings. We have an opening for a full-time Administrative & Underwriting Specialist.

This position is in-office full time, possible hybrid after training.

Job Description:

The Administrative & Underwriting Specialist will be part of a small team. The position responsibilities include preparing all invoices and bills for approval and updating Quicken; processing applications and preparing them for the underwriter; word processing insurance documents; independently completing routine policy updates including input to Access; using Excel to import and manipulate data to produce reports; responding to emails; answering the phones; monitoring and ordering office supplies; and other duties and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree a Plus
• At least 2 years administrative or insurance underwriting assistant experience
• Intermediate to advanced skills with Quicken and/or QuickBooks
• Intermediate skills with Office 365 Word and Excel
• Basic skills with Office 365 Access
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Must be detail oriented, accurate and well organized.
• The qualified candidate is reliable, dependable, and works well independently.
• Is a positive, energetic and enthusiastic team member.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.75 - $29.07 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
