Pipelines Manager jobs in Schenectady, NY
Pipelines Manager manages day-to-day operational aspects of natural gas and/or crude oil pipeline. Plans and develops enhancements of pipelines to troubleshoot pipeline problems. Being a Pipelines Manager ensures that the department's objectives meet the regulations, industry standards, production targets, and quality standards. Determines expenses for pipeline system usage. Additionally, Pipelines Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pipelines Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Pipelines Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Project Manager will work on water supply/distribution, water quality and wastewater collection/treatment projects. Responsibilities
- Plan and design medium to large scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Assist with oversight and guidance of projects from initial concept through construction
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals
- Collaborate, mentor and lead as appropriate
- Prepare preliminary engineering reports.
- Perform and review detailed hydraulic calculations.
- Produce effective and high-quality project documents (including reports, drawings, and specifications)
- Assist clients with construction procurement
- Assist with water and wastewater operations and research, hydraulic/process modeling, environmental review, permitting, and project financing
- Provide bidding and construction administration services.
