Additionally, Pipelines Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pipelines Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Pipelines Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. The Role As a Service Owner for Data Pipelines, You will run a little Data Pipelines consulting company inside Kyndryl helping clients imagine where their data can be and how it can get there. You’ll work alongside fellow Service Owners in Analytics, AI, Data Strategy and Governance, and Data Platforms creating data, AI, and analytics solutions for our customers. You will understand the Client's Problems and see innovative Solutions, You will listen to clients facing real challenges moving data around the organization. You can take what you have learned and propose innovative solutions that Kyndryl can help deliver; whether that’s designing a pipeline to move data to the cloud, finding a way to democratize data stuck on a mainframe or in an ERP system, optimizing the performance of an existing data pipeline, or leveraging the latest technology from one of our data partners. You will discover patterns of client problems and then collaborate across partners, Kyndryl service offerings, and other consulting teams to create hardened capabilities that teams can use. Once introduced to clients, you will develop and maintain relationships with key client stakeholders. You will negotiate terms with C-level clients, lead pursuit teams, and participate and lead the proposal development process. Service Owner’s job isn’t done when the customer is ready to buy. you will be creating a budget for the project and supervising on-time and on-budget delivery; often creating the team structures, agile management practices, and project plans that will lead to success. The Applications and Data Practice is stronger because of the leadership of our Service Owners. you will coach, challenge, mentor, instruct, and develop some of the brightest data engineers, data scientists, data modelers, and data analysts in the company. As a Service Owner, you will be focused on advising clients on all things Data Pipelines. You will also need to partner with your Kyndryl colleagues on Data Platforms, Data Strategy, AI, and Analytics to form complex solutions to our clients most pressing business problems. Consulting services include everything from leading workshops and consulting engagements to help clients build a strategy around data engineering to first-of-a-kind engineering projects, PoCs, and MVPs to help the client realize value and start their journey. If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $154, 710 to $371,300 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. Your entrepreneurial spirit and perseverance will guide you through the hard work and attention to detail required to build a consulting practice in Kyndryl. Experience leading teams and hiring people for data engineering related technical tasks such as; Creating complex transformations using Azure Data Fabric, AWS Glue, Informatica, or other tools Solving data integration issues pulling data from ERP systems and mainframe databases, Working with Apache Spark to migrate data, Migrating data between data platforms.
