Pipelines Manager manages day-to-day operational aspects of natural gas and/or crude oil pipeline. Plans and develops enhancements of pipelines to troubleshoot pipeline problems. Being a Pipelines Manager ensures that the department's objectives meet the regulations, industry standards, production targets, and quality standards. Determines expenses for pipeline system usage. Additionally, Pipelines Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Pipelines Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Pipelines Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. You will be part of our Developer Enablement team, responsible for providing high-quality systems, processes, building-blocks, templates and guidelines to our development teams. Day-to-day tasks can include working with the pipelines that handle code for our autonomous drone systems, setting up observability tools and connecting them to the right data sources, designing and communicating templates and best practice guidelines on CI/CD usage, and much more.
Your focus will be on the lower, more embedded, end of our tech stack, which spans all the way from low-level microcontroller code over Embedded Linux running on the drones, through cloud-based backends, up to web-based frontends.
