Pipeline Technician is responsible for the maintenance and correct operation of an oil or gas pipeline system. Troubleshoots, tests, maintains, and repairs pipeline equipment which may include valves, operators, and filtration systems. Being a Pipeline Technician performs periodic inspections and routine maintenance on the pipeline system. Completes maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents. Additionally, Pipeline Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Pipeline Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     The Technician, Laborer Pipeline & Plumbing Install is dedicated support and assistance to the Technician tasked with Perma-Liner and Plumbing installation. This is a project-specific role part of a team responsible for providing full-service pipelining and plumbing removal and installation.   

    Position: Overnight Pipeline and plumbing Laborer Technician 
    Location: Acton, Ma or Sterling, Ma
    Potential Earnings: $28-$32/hr. Dependent on experience

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practice
    • Provide effective communication between customers and Wind River Environmental. 
    • Construction Duties
      • Sawcut interior of unit
      • Jackhammer interior of unit
      • Hand dig the exterior sanitary line
      • Dry wall
      • Plastering
      • Vinyl siding
      • Painting
    • Plumbing Duties
      • Sanitary line
      • Boiler removal
    • Pipelining Duties 
      • Prepares, installs, and cures Perma-Liner product to pipes identified for repair.
      • Protect pipelining product and equipment and keep a well inventoried truck. 
    • Participate actively in all training exercises, team meetings, and safety discussions. 
    • Completion and submission of any and all required quote and service paperwork to management. 
    • Follow all Wind River Environmental service protocols. 
    • Must comply with all FMCSA and DOT regulations if applicable 
    • Must practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury free. Must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident.  
    • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job. 
    • Other duties as assigned by management 

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Proven and Certified ability to assist in Perma-Liner installation (inversion, main line installation, and Pull-in-Place)
    • Prior experience in plumbing, construction, and drain cleaning preferred
    • Ability to safely operate construction equipment such as (but not limited to): shovel, pickaxe, jackhammer, wet saw, demo saw
    • Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
    • Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs
    • Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management
    • Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines
    • Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills
    • Ability to perform basic math functions. 

    Minimum Education / Experience / Qualifications:
    • Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Must have previous construction and/or drain cleaning experience (1 years)
    • 4 years of Perma-Liner installation experience
    • Must have a valid driver’s license
    • Acceptable driving record 
    • Ability to successfully pass all pre-employment screenings and background checks as determined by position
    • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
