POSITION SUMMARY :

We are currently seeking a Full time Pipeline Services Field Technician for pipeline maintenance projects.

Read through the RESPONSIBILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS, and DUTIES to obtain an understanding of the position and skill level we are seeking. No relocation assistance is necessary or available for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a motivated person with working knowledge of pipeline maintenance. This individual will conduct pipeline maintenance services that meet all State and Federal compliance requirements for both general and specific pipeline projects. This line of business requires individuals that are motivated self-starters that will take initiatives and who are very detail oriented. This position is responsible for supporting recompression / cross compression, pigging for pipeline cleaning, Hydrostatic Testing / Drying and pipeline in-line inspection projects. This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening at any given time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• CERTIFICATION – All required Operator Qualifications for PS work pigging and pigging equipment. (Able to work under span of control for most OQ areas.)
• Up to 2 years’ experience preferred but not required in supporting field work related to inspections and pipeline maintenance for oil and gas pipeline operators in the U.S.A.
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter, as well as the ability to work within a team environment.
• Detailed Oriented.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all times both verbally and in documentation as well as in person and possibly group atmospheres.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License & Proof of Insurance.

Desired (Not required):

• Construction experience.
• Ability to create miscellaneous project based and analysis reports using Microsoft and Excel.
• Ability to support service work in the field for periods of 2 weeks at a time. ( /-)
• Commercial Driver License

Duties

• Assist and support pipeline integrity work, as needed for, pipe integrity inspections, gas recovery and flaring operations,
• Can support completion or help complete appropriate documentation of gas recompression,
• Ability to properly evaluate and convey any project anomaly as part of data collection for client pipeline operators.
• Support drawdown and pigging operation as required.
• This position requires up to and can exceed 50 % of travel availability for position.
• Ability to use MS Word or Excel reports and input data for analysis.
• Ability to learn to prepare daily reports to document review progress.
• Attend meetings and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
• Work with subject matter experts and project team to identify, define, collect, document as well as communicate the data requirements.
