Full time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm

Description

This is a full-time, entry level position conducting meter readings of gas and electric meters throughout the Central Hudson NYS territory.

Essential Job Functions

• Locate appropriate structure utilizing provided software
• Safely and accurately read electric and gas consumption meters
• Inspect meters and conections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections
• Polite and professional interactions with client representatives and the general public
• Adhere to safety standards as defined by PPS Safety Standards and Procedures

Position Qualifications:

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must have the ability to walk 1-5 miles daily.
• Effective Communication skills.
• Must enjoy working outdoors in various types of weather and terrain, such as wooded, urban, rural, and unmaintained right of ways.
• Possess the ability to read a map and use basic tablet/phone technology
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to act with integrity and respect of personal or public property.
• Ability to report to jobsite daily and travel to a new location upon request at any time throughout local Central Hudson service territories
• High School Diploma or equivalent
