Pipeline Scheduler, Sr. jobs in New Iberia, LA

PECI is currently seeking a degreed Accountant

The position requires knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) regulations and procedures. PECI is a Pipeline and facilities contractor with work in multiples states and multiple projects.

Responsibilities listed below are in support of Controller and is not limited but primary.

• Key Duties

Manage accounts receivable and interact with PECI project teams and Clients

Prepare Project budget forecasts with Project Teams and present to upper management

Manage all accounting transactions

Work with Controller to perform financial statements on time

Work with Controller in support of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings

Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, 401K, and Benefits.

Ensure timely bank payments

Provide support with payroll on multiple projects in multiple states

Compute taxes and prepare tax returns for multiple states

Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity

Audit financial transactions and documents

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary

Comply with financial policies and regulations

• Qualifications

5 years Work experience as an Accountant

Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Hands-on experience with accounting software QuickBooks is strongly preferred and Paylocity

Must be proficient in MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables

Experience with general ledger functions

Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

BS in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree required

Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus

Notary certification is a plus

Salary will be commensurate with experience and references
