Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager with 5-10 years Pipeline Construction Field Safety experience to join our team. As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors on our construction sites. You will develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to minimize occupational health risks and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices both Federal and State
- PEC Safeland Instructor certification desirable
· Veriforce or EnergyWorldNet Evaluator desirable
· Medic First Aid instructor desirable
· Any additional Certifications are beneficial
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Provide training to employees on safety procedures, including proper equipment usage, emergency response protocols, and hazard recognition
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify potential safety risks during the planning phase of projects
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other relevant data
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry trends to ensure continuous improvement in safety practices
- Manage workers' compensation claims and work closely with insurance providers to facilitate timely resolution
· Monitors and assists with implementation of the project HSE Plan, environmental plan, regulatory requirements, and any other safe work practices.
· Conducts new hire orientation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree Preferred but not required in Occupational Health, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance management
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices
- Familiarity with construction management software for tracking safety incidents and inspections
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on safety procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions
- Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
