Physicist researches subjects such as mechanics, heat, light, sound, electricity, pneumatics, magnetism, and radiation. Develops laws and theories of physics for their application to specific industries and fields. Being a Physicist describes and illustrates observations and conclusions in mathematical terms. Devises procedures for physical testing of materials. Additionally, Physicist conducts instrumental analyses to determine physical properties of materials. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Physicist works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     As a medical physicist, you'll help facilities with medical radiation devices and technology. Working in hospitals, private practices, outpatient centers or other healthcare facilities, you'll consult with physicians, train staff on using equipment, implement safety procedures, plan radiation treatments and more. You'll play a critical role in helping patients and providers stay safe and get the answers they need.

    Minimum Requirements

    • At least 1 year of recent experience in relevant setting and specialty
    • ABR Certification
    • BLS Certification (AHA)
    • Current state license (if applicable)
