DUTIES:
Review patient records and radiation calculations. Perform complex dosimetry measurements and calculations and assemble dosimetry data required by treatment planning system. Verify the accuracy and integrity of dosimetry data. Perform quality assurance and calibrations on medical linear accelerators. Design and/or review patient treatments plans for radiation therapy to include particular emphasis on SRS. Provide training and support for dosimetry staff. Complete weekly chart checks (additional physics support already in place). Provide ongoing physics support for all technical and medical staff. Four day workweek will be considered.
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s Degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or a closely related scientific field. Knowledge and experience of the Elekta platform preferred; knowledge and experience with the Mosaiq EMR platform preferred. Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics required. Must be willing to work in Lumberton, NC.
