KGHP’s Diagnostic Medical Physicists support 400 clients primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region (MD, VA, DC, WV, PA & DE). Our physicists have the flexibility to live anywhere in our core market, and unlike many consulting firms, you get to set your schedule to best fit your client’s and your needs. Our management and administrative teams in the home office in Maryland will support you 100% in serving our clients.
We work hard to try to achieve work/life balance, and though travel is extensive (3-5 days a week), it is mostly day travel with only a few days of overnight travel per quarter. You get home most nights to spend time with those you care about most.
A day in the life of a KGHP physicist may consist of:
Technical qualifications for this position include a master’s degree in Medical Physics, Chemistry, or a Physical Science and be Board Certified (or in the process of becoming Board Certified) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Diagnostic Radiology; and experience in radioactive materials (preferably from a nuclear medicine department). Experience in conducting equipment performance tests is a plus.
In addition to the technical requirements, KGHP physicists must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interpret regulations, and most importantly, a willingness to go “above and beyond” for their clients and fellow colleagues.
