Pawsitive Steps Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine is exclusively dedicated to providing veterinary physical medicine services, rehabilitation therapy, sports medicine, and pain management for small animal patients. We are an independently owned practice located in Rochester Hills, MI and one of only a handful of stand-alone practices in the state dedicated solely to rehabilitation. We take a low-stress approach with patient care by continually assessing body language and behavior. We believe that rehab should be fun and enjoyable for the patient in order to produce the greatest success.

We are seeking a full-time, licensed veterinary technician who is compassionate, has a strong work ethic, possesses critical thinking skills, and works well with teammates.

**Interested candidates must have their own, reliable transportation.**

**Preference will be given to candidates who are already certified in canine rehabilitation (CCRA, CCRP, CVRMT, CCVRN).**

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performing rehabilitation therapies as prescribed by our rehabilitation veterinarians.
• Developing and implementing individualized exercise programs for patients.
• Helping teammates with their patients as needed to facilitate treatments(s).
• Providing exceptional client education which includes correspondence in the form of homework, handouts, etc. via phone calls, email, and fac-to-face interaction.
• Using a digital medical record system to record medical information for each patient, schedule appointments, etc.

Skills Required:

• A strong grasp of canine & feline anatomy.
• The ability to provide excellent interpersonal relationship skills in dealing with your peers, supervisors, our clients, and the veterinarians.
• The ability to utilize low stress/fear free handling techniques with patients.
• The ability to focus and even thrive in high stress situations.
• The ability to utilize critical thinking skills to solve problems.
• Work effectively as a team member while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Manage time efficiently and effectively.
• The hunger to continue to learn!
