Physician - Rheumatology examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and immune system. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Rheumatology recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Rheumatology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Rheumatology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Medical Assistant

  • Orlando, FL FULL_TIME
  • To include but not limited to:

    • Verifies all prescriptions and dosing on medication list. Verifies patient allergies
    • Assist doctors when needed (minor office procedures etc.)
    • Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and for any minor office procedures
    • Give injections, at times may draw blood for labs
    • Teach patients to give themselves injections
    • Answers all calls and messages in a caring, polite, professional manner
    • Keep rooms stocked and cleaned at all time
    • Make sure that we have all medication information for patients (pamphlets, copay cards etc) if you use the last copy, make more copies. • Make sure patients have scripts for outside testing (when necessary, labs / x-ray etc) • Refill prescriptions for the patient when instructed to do so (including refills) • Fills out prior authorization forms for patient’s medications • Maintains confidentiality of records • Requests lab / x-ray etc. results, when instructed to do so • Prepare charts for the following day, with recent labs / office notes

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • Medical Assistant diploma, will need to be Certified within 90 days of hired,
    • Friendly, professional demeanor
    • Computer knowledge / typing
    • Good verbal and written communication skills and good spelling

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $29,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
