  • Responsibilities

     

    River Vista Behavioral Health sits along the bluffs overlooking the San Joaquin River, this brand new, 128-bed facility, will provide high-quality and advanced behavioral health services to residents and visitors in the Central Valley.  The new hospital will employ more than 250 people, including clinicians, nurses, mental health technicians, support staff and administration.

     

    We are currently seeking a forward thinking and compassionate HR Recruiter. The HR Recruiter is responsible for recruitment & onboarding support and develops sources for prospective employees need to meet staffing requirements.  This position performs preliminary screenings, interviews, and testing, routes applications to appropriate Hiring Managers; maintains appropriate employment records and systems including but not limited to job requisitions, postings, applications, resumes, and job descriptions.  The HR Recruiter works directly with Hiring Managers on fulfilling recruitment needs and tracks onboarding progress through the probation period. This position ensures the confidentiality of all employee and patient information.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related business or related behavioral health field required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of three (3) year experience in human resources in a health care setting, required.
    • A minimum of three (3) years recruitment experience required.

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITON

     

    • Must be able to demonstrate special training, knowledge and skills specific to job specific competency within introductory period.

     

    STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

    1. Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students and temporary employees; Assist with job Fairs and other employment functions & events.
    2. Prepare accurate vacancy listings and distribute to designated personnel and agencies and weekly update of vacancy listing and routing of resumes to hiring managers via the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).  Review applications for completeness; distribute to hiring manager appropriately in a timely manner according to department protocol.
    3. Track onboarding progress from offer through onboarding.  Ensure candidates have timely and accurate information to begin employment.  Ensure that both managers and candidates have onboarding materials.
    4. Onboarding & primary source verification.  New Employee Orientation (NEO) preparation & facilitation. Assist with new hire clearance process.
    5. Initiate collection of and maintain the employee license file to assure all current licenses are obtained and in file at all times. Validate licenses of all new employees through the appropriate licensing board.
    6. Audit personnel files & records, ensuring all information is current and accurate.  Assist with contractor file set up & maintenance.
    7. Maintain outstanding employee competency and personnel file in an organized manner, consistent with department standards.
    8. Maintain continuing education competencies – run reports and track compliance.
    9. Coordinate response and completion of facility & employee surveys, as needed.
    10. Helps coordinate a variety of employee reward and recognition functions. 
    11. Assist in organizing special employee events, employee activities and human resources related in-service training, annual competencies.
    12. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
    13. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
    14. Assist in preparing personnel-related documents in compliance for The Joint Commission surveys.
    15. Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
    16. Adhere to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
    17. Attend all mandatory facility in-services, competencies, and staff development activities as scheduled.
    18. Support facility-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives.
    19. Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
    20. Other duties and special projects, as assigned.

    • Ability to spend 10% of working time outside in temperatures varying from 30 F. to 105 F.
    • Ability to spend 90% of working time in an environment of continuous low voices and office machine noise typical for business office atmosphere.
    • Ability to handle a variety of repetitive tasks at a moderate level.
    • Prepared to occasionally handle electrical, mechanical, or equipment emergencies.

     

    Additional Requirements:
