JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Performs radiographic exams to include all modalities covered under the staff radiographer’s license. Monitors and evaluates patient care quality and efficiency as part of a multi-disciplinary team and appropriate for the needs for the age population served, as defined in the department’s scope of service.

Holds current Louisiana State license to perform in the capacity of radiographer.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: incident reporting, handles wastes, sharps and linens, PPE, exposure control plans, hand washing, environmental rounds to ensure safety, patient identification, receives orders for patients, and clinical alarms for all age groups.

Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling or far or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
