Physician - Radiation Therapy jobs in Normal, IL
Physician - Radiation Therapy uses radiation to treat patients with cancer. Develops an individual treatment plan based on the patient's medical history, physical examination, review of laboratory tests, X-ray studies, and biopsies. Being a Physician - Radiation Therapy works with medical radiation physicists and dosimetrists to calculate and deliver the exact dose of radiation to the cancer tissue. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Radiation Therapy requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Overview
Pay range for this position is $30.85 - $46.85/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure.
POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times.
QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan) Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: BSN Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
