Physician - Pulmonary Medicine examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases of the lungs. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Pulmonary Medicine recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Pulmonary Medicine requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Requirements
- Successful completion of a US residency and a pulmonary/critical care fellowship
- Board certified/eligible at time of employment
- Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
- DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
