Job Description

Central Florida Pulmonary Group is looking for an Appointment Scheduler to join our team! This position is non-exempt status, full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Orlando, Florida are encouraged to apply.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Answers a high volume of phone calls
• Sets and Confirms appointments
• Responsible for follow up calls to schedule appointments for existing patients
• Advises patients on details of appointments and how they can can prepare
• Communicates with staff, nurses, and physicians
• Strong data entry skills needed for use in various computer programs (Greenway Prime Suite EMR, Excel, email)
• Answers and/or follows-up on all patient requests
• Fills in for front desk associates as needed

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-2 Years of Medical Office Scheduling

Knowledge and Training

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Candidate must demonstrate abilities in healthcare business operations
• Must be detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Strong sense of responsibility and initiative
