Busy podiatry clinic in metro area with over 22 years of experience looking for full time medical assistant /medical scribe. No weekends. Duties include shadowing physicians and assisting them in creating EMR patient visit notes.

The ideal person will escort patients to and from exam rooms. Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or procedures.

• Must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency
• Makes patient calls as required or directed by provider.
• EHR experience is preferred
• Must be patient focused and able to effectively communicate with patients, co-workers and management to exceed goals and objectives
• Ability to multi-task in a fun and fast-pace team environment
• Maintains a positive, empathetic attitude towards patients
• Possess a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism and reliability
• Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed
• Ability to learn and perform procedures such as x-rays
• Performs other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing, scanning, faxing, reception, etc, as requested by supervisor or provider.
• Hours may vary between 8:00am-5:00pm. We have two clinics so travel is a must, we will reimburse for mileage. Full-time staff are eligible for medical,(we pay 50% of the premium for employee-only health insurance thru Blue Cross and Blue Shield). We pay 100% dental insurance thru Delta Dental.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
