We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented to join our team. As a , you will play a crucial role in accurately coding and maintaining medical records and billing information. Your expertise in medical coding systems, terminology, and procedures will ensure the smooth operation of our medical office. Must have Podiatry Experince in both Clinic and Nursing home billing. Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of coded information for proper billing and reimbursement
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and industry best practices
- Conduct regular audits to identify coding errors or compliance issues
- Assist with the development and implementation of coding policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate claims submission and reimbursement
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Proficiency in ICD-10, ICD-9, and other medical coding systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance claim submission
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with complex codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and billing staff
- Ability to adapt to changing coding guidelines and regulations
