Medical Office searching for Medical Billing Representative

**Must have experience in Medical Insurance Claims Billing and Claim follow up to be considered. **

(Essential Employee) Must be able to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm w/a 1hour scheduled lunch.__

Ideal Candidate will have the following experience:

• Medical Ins. Claims Billing
• Medical Claims A/R follow up
• Must be able to read and process remittance advices from Insurance Carriers
• Must be familiar with online Insurance Provider Portals
• Must be able to contact patients for collecting on balances due
• Familiar with what Copay, Deductible, & Coinsurance amounts are and collecting.
• Commercial Insurance Billing Knowledge
• Familiar with working/filing/posting paper as well as 835/837 claims & remits.
• Must be Honest, Dependable, Hardworking, and have pleasant demeanor to be able to communicate well with management, physicians, coworkers, insurance representatives and patients.
• Must follow all company rules, policies, and procedures.
• Duties to include but not limited to:

• Filing patient's claims to insurance and following up to make sure the claims are processed and paid.
• Working daily and monthly reports to ensure payment from Insurance Carriers and Patients.
• Working Claim Denials/Rejections to have overturned for payment/processing
• Posting Patient Payments
• Collecting on patient balances
• Answering busy Billing office phone lines and answering patient account questions

• Other duties as assigned
