York Hospital, an independent community hospital in the charming, seaside town of York, Maine, is seeking a highly experienced BC/BE Pediatric Physician. York Hospital is well-respected for clinical excellence and industry leading patient experience.

We offer a full array of supporting services in a comfortable, caring environment.  A dedicated team of comprised of a Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Medical Assistants and Administrative Staff Support the Pediatric service. Our culture encourages strong, collegial relationships across all levels of staff.

York Hospital

• 7 Maternity beds and a small nursery
• 48 Adult Medicine Beds: 5 Maternity, 5 ICU
• 13 bed ED
• Tele-Health program with Mass General Hospital NICU
• Well established outpatient community clinics
• All Family medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatric practices are NCQA, PCMH certified
• Wide range of specialty services within the hospital network including OB/GYN, Urology, Pulmonology, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Orthopedics and Rheumatology
• MGH-affiliated pediatric gastroenterology and developmental pediatrics clinic on site
• Wide array of laboratory and imaging services

Position Attributes

• • Full-time desired but will consider reduced FTE.
  • Hospital employed.
  • Competitive salary and excellent benefits
  • Monday–Friday, flexible schedule based upon committed FTE
  • Shared 1:4 call; Rounding on healthy newborn, attending unscheduled C-sections and high risk deliveries.
  • 24/7 MGH NICU, Tele-Health available

Candidate Requirements

• • Board certified or board eligible in pediatrics
  • Must have current, unrestricted, Maine licensure in progress and be active on date of hire
  • Current, unrestricted federal and, as needed, state prescriptive authority
  • Extensively trained and experienced
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
