Role Description

This is a full-time Certified Medical Assistant role located in Gurnee, IL. As a Certified Medical Assistant at Gurnee Pediatrics, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting healthcare providers with examinations and procedures, administering immunizations, performing in-house labs and other labs, and performing administrative tasks such as following up with patient labs/imaging completion and medical record management.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Previous experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Experienced in administering immunizations.
• Knowledge of pediatric immunization schedule.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Knowledge of basic medical equipment and instruments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
