Sunflower Neonatology Associates (SNA) is a diverse private practice neonatology group founded in 2004 providing family centered, evidence-based medical care for ill and premature infants. We are looking to onboard 1-2 neonatal hospitalists to add to our team of 25 neonatal nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Our coverage consists of five area Midwest hospitals, but current position is for one primary hospital for the physician to join.
The NICU Hospitalist assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the medical care for neonatal patients in the Level III NICUs in collaboration with neonatologist. This includes providing necessary emergency, acute supportive care for the ill neonate. In addition, the physician works in close collaboration with the family, the medical team, and the hospital staff to meet the specific needs of the infant.
Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a Level III NICU associated with the HCA hospital system and located in Overland Park, Kansas. It is one of the largest NICUs in the state of Kansas and services the Kansas City metro and area communities. While most infants are inborn, there is an active maternal and neonatal transport team. The NICU is a private 55-bed unit with average daily census in the 40s. We provide state of the art care for the most fragile neonates from 22 weeks’ gestation to postdates in need of intensive care.
