Physician - Pathology examines diseases using fluids, body tissue, secretions, etc. to ascertain cause, nature, and extent of disease and to determine effectiveness of treatment. May perform autopsy to ascertain exact cause of death, and source or extent of disease and effects of treatment. Being a Physician - Pathology requires an advanced degree. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Additionally, Physician - Pathology typically reports to a medical director. Physician - Pathology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.   • Aspirus Health is seeking a Pathologist to join our busy team in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This is a general pathology position with the opportunity to build a sub-specialty program

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

    • Monday-Friday, approx. 8am-5pm
    • Call 1:3, includes weekend on-site needs
    • 7,000 surgical cases per year; 6,000 cytologies per year
    • Small number of electrophoresis and hematology interpretations
    • No autopsies
    • Sub-specialties could include cytopathology, GI, Breast/Gyn, GU, or CP management/lab administration
    • This bustling pathology lab has very efficient support staff and excellent lab leadership
    • Pathologists’ assistant onsite
    • Lab and office are on the same floor
