May perform autopsy to ascertain exact cause of death, and source or extent of disease and effects of treatment. Being a Physician - Pathology requires an advanced degree. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Additionally, Physician - Pathology typically reports to a medical director. Physician - Pathology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Monday-Friday, approx. 8am-5pm
- Call 1:3, includes weekend on-site needs
- 7,000 surgical cases per year; 6,000 cytologies per year
- Small number of electrophoresis and hematology interpretations
- No autopsies
- Sub-specialties could include cytopathology, GI, Breast/Gyn, GU, or CP management/lab administration
- This bustling pathology lab has very efficient support staff and excellent lab leadership
- Pathologists’ assistant onsite
- Lab and office are on the same floor

- Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital is part of the Aspirus Health system of 17 hospitals and 75 clinics throughout central Wisconsin and upper Michigan
- Stevens Point is a vibrant community with amazing public and parochial schools, a technical college, and a four-year university
