Physician - Pathology examines diseases using fluids, body tissue, secretions, etc. to ascertain cause, nature, and extent of disease and to determine effectiveness of treatment. May perform autopsy to ascertain exact cause of death, and source or extent of disease and effects of treatment. Being a Physician - Pathology requires an advanced degree. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Additionally, Physician - Pathology typically reports to a medical director. Physician - Pathology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.   • Pathology AssistantFull Time. Triages surgical specimens in accordance with established procedures. Preparation, gross description, and dissection of surgical specimens ranging from small biopsies to large and/or high complexity resections. Performs histological submissions in accordance with current procedure. Submits all work labeled appropriately, with all required paperwork and/or logs, and in a timely manner. Maintain the Gross Room in a clean, orderly, well-stocked and well-maintained manner. Serve as a technical resource in teaching dissection and descriptive techniques to gross techs and technical staff. Updates personal skills and knowledge to remain current and become efficient and proficient in the position. Consults with the Medical Director(s) regarding technical issues when appropriate. Attends in-services and meetings to assure job competency and communication. Performs assessment of peers performing non-waived testing as a Qualified Observer. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Biological Sciences or related field, or equivalent education and experience in accordance with CLIA 88 requirements for high complexity testing, required. Graduate of accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program, preferred. Continual assessment of current literature and best practices, required.

    Pay: $99,840.00 - $140,608.00 per year
