Responsibilities:

• Employing support to staff in histology laboratory.
• Capable of performing all clerical/computer functions regarding workload, quality control, data entry, slide filing and report generation.
• Capable of performing lab tasks, including but not limited to; changing stainers, tissue processors and slide distribution.
• Conducts all tasks compliantly with CLIA and CAP regulations.
• Capable of communicating mechanical issues with service techs, fellow techs and lab supervisor and/or lab manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED plus medical office experience preferred, OR working on Associates degree with a combination of 12 semester hours in biology and chemistry (within or addition to associate degree)
• Ability to work an occasional weekend.
