Physician - Pathology examines diseases using fluids, body tissue, secretions, etc. to ascertain cause, nature, and extent of disease and to determine effectiveness of treatment. May perform autopsy to ascertain exact cause of death, and source or extent of disease and effects of treatment. Being a Physician - Pathology requires an advanced degree. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Additionally, Physician - Pathology typically reports to a medical director. Physician - Pathology's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     The Colorado Permanente Medical Group is seeking a part time AP/CP Board certified experienced pathologist to practice in the Denver Metro area in a large multi-specialty group.   

    Our pathology group serves 28 outpatient primary care and subspecialty clinics and 3 ambulatory surgery centers.  The position requires a person with excellent general surgical pathology and cytology skills.  Additional duties include on call rotation, tumor board presentations and other organizational committees. Sub specialization would be a plus.   

    This physician will need to have the ability to accurately and efficiently diagnose  surgical and cytology cases, demonstrate proficiency in intraoperative frozen section consultations and immediate evaluation of adequacy for cytology.  The physician will also need the ability to serve as clinical medical director for a variety of medical office labs. 

    Employment Requirement: Colorado Permanente Medical Group, P.C. staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have established a qualified medical or religious, exemption by September 17, 2021. All persons offered a position will be required to provide valid proof of vaccination or qualifying exemption prior to starting employment.
