Comprehensive Ophthalmology - Brown Academic Appointment

  • Rhode Island Hospital an affiliated hospital of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and member of the Lifespan Physician Group has an opportunity for a board certified or eligible comprehensive ophthalmologist. In this position you will have the opportunity to teach residents while providing comprehensive ophthalmology services to our patients in greater Providence, RI.

    About the position
    •            Work with a diverse patient population (economically, culturally, and ethnically)
    •            Provide medical and surgical glaucoma care, as well as primary eye care

    •            Opportunity to treat and perform cataract surgery (half to full day per week)
    •            Strong sub-specialty support in all areas for patients who need more complex care
    •            Teach Brown University medical students and residents in clinic
    •            Supervise residents in cataract and glaucoma surgery
    •            Academic appointment to Brown University
    •            Opportunity for clinical research and innovations
    •            30 /- patients per day

    You will be joining a group of ophthalmologists who take pride in the care they give their patients, and the education they provide for our residents and students. The practice currently has specialists in ophthalmic plastic surgery, glaucoma, cornea, pediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology, and medical retina as well as optometry.
