Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Qualifications required:
Experienced would be preferable but we would consider a resident or fellow if the residency or fellowship is in or related to Occupational Health
Medical Review Officer, Certified Medical Examiner for Federal Motor Carrier Examinations (certification or willingness to become certified.
