Physician - Occupational Medicine oversees the patient's diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational illnesses and/or injury. Prepares patients for return to work after illness or injury or may act as a consultant to identify workplace health hazards. Being a Physician - Occupational Medicine examines patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Additionally, Physician - Occupational Medicine requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. You will interact with 5-10 patients a day on average.An established (45 years) and growing medical center is seeking a Certified Phlebotomist Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience. Qualified applicants should be able to work in a precise manner,multi-task, work well under pressure, be organized and detail oriented, outgoing and most importantly have excellent customer service skills.
Computer skills are also a must. Your comfort and ability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer knowledge will be tested.
Duties will Include:- Perform blood draws on patients and prepare for LabCorp/Fed-Ex pick-up daily.
- Mix and administer several different I.V. treatments for patients ( training included) Under supervision of an M.D.
- Answer any questions a patient may ask about lab test kits and labs.
- Administer oxygen/oxygen multi-step therapy for patients.
- Take patients' pulses, blood pressure readings, weight, and temperature.
- Assist in the front office with patient calls and assist in appointments with scribing.
ONLY CANDIDATES with prior experience as a phlebotomist need apply.
