Physician - Obstetrics/Gynecology examines female patients to ensure a healthy reproductive system. Monitors patient during prenatal, natal and postnatal periods and performs tests and prescribes medication and treatment, as necessary. Being a Physician - Obstetrics/Gynecology delivers babies, determining the method most appropriate to ensure health and safety of both infant and mother. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Obstetrics/Gynecology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Genesis Physician Services is seeking a FFS Attending Physician/Medical Director for our Ridgewood Center, located in Ridgewood, NJ.
This is a Dual Role Attending Physician/Medical Director. It is clinical in nature. Must be BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with LTC Experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take complete responsibility for patients admitted to their service
Comply with the Genesis Physician Services (GPS) credentialing process
Visit assigned patients in a timely fashion according to GPS policy and procedure
Comply with guidelines related to GPS initiatives
Comply with the “Rules and Regulations” of the Medical Staff
Comply with the Genesis Physician Services “Corporate Integrity” policies
Assess the customer and ensure that a complete history and physical examination
are on the chart within 72 hrs after the admission to the center.
Deliver high quality care to assigned patients
Work closely with the Center Medical Director and act to improve the care in the
facility
Serve as an appropriate role model for other physicians and staff
Help articulate the Genesis Physician Services mission to the community and
professional organizations
Help the center establish appropriate relationships, and coordinate transfer and care
arrangements with area hospitals and other pertinent institutions
Demonstrate care and compassion to ensure that all internal and external customers
consistently receive high quality service
Comply with the Genesis Physician Services Time Off and On Call policies
Perform other duties as assigned
ADHERES TO COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
o Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures
including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process,
Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA.
o Participate in required orientation and training programs.
o Promptly report concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance to
management or to the Compliance Officer via the Reach Out Line.
o Cooperate with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.

2.Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
