Aspects of the General Nephrology position:● Position information: Seeking BC/BE General Nephrologist to join our VMFH St. Anne’s location in Burien Washington. We work closely with Virginia Mason Medical Center’s internists and specialists, and we see the full spectrum of general nephrology patients. This will be an active outpatient clinic practice and cover hospital dialysis at St. Anne medical center. We also employ advanced practitioners, who help with rounding in the outpatient dialysis units. We typically see patients in clinic on 30-minute follow-up and 60-minute new patient intervals and receive consultation requests both locally and regionally within the Pacific Northwest. Our team is a clinically focused collegial group of nephrologists, who enjoy collaborating and supporting each other.
Nephrology Board eligible/Board certified General Nephrologists to fulfill the diverse needs of the community and our growing program at VMFH. The practice location will be at St. Anne Hospital in Burien, WA.
● Clinical excellence: Nephrology is looking to hire a general nephrologist to provide high quality compassionate patient-centered nephrology care. This nephrologist will be employed by VMMC, connected to VMMC Nephrology in Downtown Seattle, and supported by leadership at both St. Anne and VMMC Seattle. This nephrologist will help develop a state-of-the-art inpatient and outpatient nephrology program at St. Anne medical center and will be an extension of the clinical excellence, professionalism, and collaboration of the VMMC Section of Nephrology.
● Team based approach: Our nephrology team focuses on providing appropriate, compassionate, and state-of-the art surgical and medical care for our patients. Our staff and physicians comprise a dedicated and collaborative team that support each other and work together to create a positive work environment.
● Flexible schedule options: Weekly schedule will include outpatient clinics, and inpatient hospital consultation, and dialysis services at the St. Anne Hospital location. On-call responsibilities will include inpatient nephrology call at St. Anne Hospital.
● Learning opportunities: Nephrology supports opportunities for continuing medical education, teaching, and professional growth. The St. Anne nephrologist will be supported by the VMMC Nephrology group, with structured mentorship in the first two years of the position.
