IMC is currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in our Nephrology Clinic. The
LPN must be able to recognize/identify, report and document changes in
patients condition and comply with all hospital and departmental policies.
Ensure that all exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies as well as
assist physician/NP in clinic. Assist MD with phone calls to
patients/caregivers and pharmacies. The LPN must have knowledge of
medications administered as well as appropriately document any sample
medications disbursed in clinic. A log of all sample medications are to
be keep current and any expired medications to be disposed of according to
hospital policy. The LPN must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to
provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related
criteria for the adolescent, adult, and geriatric population.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of a state approved LPN school of nursing Hold a current LPN License in the State of Louisiana Previous experience in physician office setting or in Nephrology preferred, but not required Knowledge of anatomy.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology EHR knowledge
