Physician - Hospitalist examines, diagnoses, and treats hospitalized patients. Manages patients through the continuum of hospital care, seeing patients in the ER and following them into the critical care unit and organizing post-acute care. Being a Physician - Hospitalist orders treatments, tests, and consults with specialty physicians and primary care physician where appropriate. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Hospitalist requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Hospitalist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Join our healthcare team in Kellogg, Idaho! Located in beautiful north Idaho with immediate access to outdoor activities including skiing, biking, hiking, fishing and hunting. Shoshone Medical Center is a critical access hospital serving our local communities and the many year-round visitors to our area. This contracted position will work eight to ten 12-hour shifts per month to provide care for our inpatient, observation and swing bed patients.
