Physician - Endocrinology examines and diagnoses hormone disorders and diseases and specializes in management of hormone conditions. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Being a Physician - Endocrinology recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Additionally, Physician - Endocrinology requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-out patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule New Patient and follow-up appointments
- Verify patient insurance information
- Update patient information as needed
- Assist with medical record requests
- Process referrals received by other healthcare providers
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Perform general administrative tasks such as faxing and data entry
Qualifications:
- Bilingual
- Previous experience working in a medical setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phone systems
- Knowledge of eClinicalWorks software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff members
- Time management; ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
