Sunrise Dermatology is looking for a trustworthy, friendly, energetic, reliable Medical Assistant who is excellent in multitasking to join our team!

*Although Dermatology experience is preferred, we are willing to train

The ideal candidate will be required to perform the following duties:

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

• Assist patient in preparing for exam
• Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR
• Assist physician during dermatologic procedures/surgery
• Prepare and collect path/lab specimens
• Scribing
• Biologics and Accutane
• Prescription refill requests and Prior authorizations
• Educate patients and respond to patient questions in office/and on phone as needed
• Clean and organize/stock exam rooms, prepare procedure trays
• Instrument Sterilization and packaging
• Follow through responsibilities as assigned by providers and management

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant and/or Dermatology Tech
• Prior experience with Modernizing Medicine (EMA) is a plus
• Prior Dermatology/Mohs experience preferred but not required
• Quality written and verbal communication skills
• Professional in appearance and mannerisms
• Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others; patients and coworkers
• Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice
• Perform inventory for supply ordering
• Able to commute to and from work on a full-time basis
• Other duties as assigned by the clinic manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
